Job description
We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to contribute to the smooth operation of financial and administrative processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and supporting business operations with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Bank reconciliations
- • Processing and approving purchase invoices, followed by payment
- • Data entry for purchase ledger transactions
- • Handling and processing staff expense claims
- • Updating internal systems with project invoicing and payment status
- • Managing credit control and collections
- • Resolving queries by collaborating with colleagues
- • Preparing internal reports and performing reconciliations
- • Identifying and suggesting improvements for systems and processes
- • Answering phone calls and making outbound calls
- • HR-related tasks (a bonus)
Required Skills & Experience:
- • Adaptable, eager to learn, and willing to develop new skills
- • Energetic and self-motivated
- • Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative
- • Good to intermediate proficiency with Sage
- • Strong IT skills
- • Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy
- • Ability to multitask and follow through on tasks
- • Strong team player in a small, dynamic team environment
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- • Experience with Sage 50
- • Previous experience in improving finance processes and implementing best practices

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000 – £33,000 per year
