Dispatch Team Leader

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatch Team Leader to join our client based in Welwyn.

Duties

  • • Overseeing and coordinating all despatch operations within the warehouse, ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • • Supervising staff, optimizing processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality throughout the despatch process.
  • • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for despatch operations.
  • • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure availability for order fulfilment.
  • • Address any issues or concerns related to despatch and delivery promptly and professionally.
  • • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • • Prepare regular updates for management regarding team performance, challenges, and achievements.

Requirements

  • • Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role.
  • • Strong understanding of despatch processes and inventory management systems.
  • • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
  • • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • • Experience with data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy in all documentation related to dispatch operations.
  • • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000-£32,000 per year
